Here are the nuts and bolts of me:
- I have nine years of art teaching experience, kindergarten through 12th grade before I had children. I have taught in a non affluent area in Chicago and in one of the wealthiest suburbs of Chicago. Diversity, when it comes to teaching, is a big part of me. I miss my students and their personalities but fear not readers, I will return to the classroom one day!
- I drilled in my head a duel masters in Art Education and Educational Administration and still… I think about perusing more degrees, so I can put even more holes in my head…
- I am an at home mom; a calligrapher by day and a reality show junkie by night. Everyone should measure up to these standards.
- I dream in color, and like to grow things, but my heart lies in fixer-upper projects. Anyone have a paint brush handy?
- I am spontaneous, ready for a challenge and always in pursuit of a good laugh- so if you have a bad-ass joke, send it my way!
- This momma enhances the visual experience daily for her two children- on top of my step stool, I am an advocate of self expression and creativity. Frankly, THE WORLD WOULD BE A BORING PLACE WITHOUT IT. Hence, the birth of the Classroom Creative. Taking everything that is unique and inspiring from blog-land and sharing it with every teacher, parent, homeschooler, caregiver, and more… enjoy!
