File Folder Games for Teaching Colors

My oldest son’s autism classroom uses a great deal of file folder games to implement the many IEP goals in his class.  Not only do autism classrooms use file folder games, but many homeschoolers and teachers in early childhood do as well.  I homeschool my boys part-time, and my neurotypical 3 year old also adores many of these games below.

We’ve dug deep into the interwebs to find color file folder games that are free or incredibly inexpensive.

Don’t have a laminator and want to keep these games durable?  Check out this idea here.

Stay tuned: we will be rounding-up file folder games for numbers, shapes, letters, manners, weather, etc.  We will be making some new file folder games very soon!

Hello there! Interesting activities! Just what i wanted! ;) i am planning to dedicate one corner for my autistic child and was not sure of what elements should i display. Now i have a rough idea on activities for them… But sorry i have to ask, what sort of tape do u use?

I use dot velcro for the file folder games. You can find it at most craft stores like Michael’s or Jo-Anna.

      Thanks,
